Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large white onion
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Peel the onion and cut off the top while keeping the root intact. Place it upside down and cut into quarters; then separate each quarter into three sections.
  2. Combine flour, paprika, garlic salt, thyme, and oregano in a bowl. Coat the onion petals in this mixture.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk and eggs. Dip the coated onion into this egg mixture and return it to the flour mixture for another coating.
  4. Preheat your air fryer and lightly oil it. Arrange the onion inside, spray generously with olive oil, and cover loosely with foil.
  5. Cook at 340°F for 10 minutes; then increase to 360°F for another 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
