Ingredients
- 1 large white onion
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Peel the onion and cut off the top while keeping the root intact. Place it upside down and cut into quarters; then separate each quarter into three sections.
- Combine flour, paprika, garlic salt, thyme, and oregano in a bowl. Coat the onion petals in this mixture.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk and eggs. Dip the coated onion into this egg mixture and return it to the flour mixture for another coating.
- Preheat your air fryer and lightly oil it. Arrange the onion inside, spray generously with olive oil, and cover loosely with foil.
- Cook at 340°F for 10 minutes; then increase to 360°F for another 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
