- 1/2 cup apple cider reduction
- 1/3 cup unsweetened apple butter
Instructions
- Prepare the apple cider reduction by boiling apple cider until it reduces to about 3 cups. Cool before use.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round baking pans.
- In a bowl, mix flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla, buttermilk, and sour cream.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Stir in apple cider reduction and apple butter until smooth.
