  • 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese (or regular cheddar), halved
  • ¾ pound deli-cut chicken
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 large egg white
  • Poppy seeds for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Slice each mini croissant in half horizontally. Place half a slice of cheese on the bottom half, followed by a slice of chicken, then another half slice of cheese before closing with the top half.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened butter, mustard, honey until smooth. Spread this mixture inside each croissant.
  4. Brush the tops with whisked egg white and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  5. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving warm.
