- 8 mini croissants
- 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese (or regular cheddar), halved
- ¾ pound deli-cut chicken
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 large egg white
- Poppy seeds for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Slice each mini croissant in half horizontally. Place half a slice of cheese on the bottom half, followed by a slice of chicken, then another half slice of cheese before closing with the top half.
- In a bowl, mix softened butter, mustard, honey until smooth. Spread this mixture inside each croissant.
- Brush the tops with whisked egg white and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Let cool slightly before serving warm.
