  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated white sugar (for blackberry swirl)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (for brownie batter)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (for cheesecake layer)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the blackberry swirl by cooking blackberries, sugar, and water in a saucepan until thickened; set aside to cool.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  3. Melt butter; mix in sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt. Gradually add cocoa powder and flour until combined.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth; mix in yogurt, egg, sugar, and salt.
  5. Layer half of the brownie batter in the pan, spread cheesecake layer on top, dollop blackberry swirl, then pour remaining brownie batter over it.
  6. Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean. Cool before cutting into squares.
