  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for caramel)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Pinch of salt
  • Extra caramel drizzle
  • Chocolate chips
  • Chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Pour brownie batter into the pan and bake for 20 minutes. Allow to cool slightly.
  4. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth; add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla until well combined.
  5. Pour cheesecake filling over cooled brownie layer. Swirl in caramel sauce.
  6. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 40-50 minutes or until the edges are set. Cool at room temperature then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  7. For caramel sauce: Heat granulated sugar until melted; whisk in butter then slowly add heavy cream while stirring.
