- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups cherries (fresh or canned)
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and line an 8½-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine eggs, Greek yogurt, buttermilk, melted butter, vanilla extract, almond extract, and sugar. Mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt; then fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Toss pitted cherries with corn starch and fold into the batter along with sliced almonds.
- Pour batter into prepared pan, reserving some cherries and almonds for topping.
- Bake for about 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the glaze, whisk confectioner’s sugar with cream and almond extract until smooth; drizzle over cooled bread.
