Ingredients
- 1.25 kg chicken wings (cut into wingettes and drumettes)
- 50g unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
- 1.5 tbsp brown sugar
- 2.5 tsp paprika
- 1.5 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 0.5 tsp dried thyme
- 0.5 tsp dried oregano
- 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C/390°F.
- Line a baking tray with aluminum foil and baking paper.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter and crushed garlic; set aside.
- In another bowl, mix all spices: brown sugar, paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, thyme, oregano, and cayenne.
- Toss chicken wings in a large bowl with half of the spice mixture until fully coated.
- Add remaining spice mix and garlic butter; toss again.
- Arrange wings in a single layer on the baking tray.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes, basting twice during cooking for extra flavor.
- Serve hot with fresh herbs if desired.
