  • 34 cups flour (more for kneading)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 6 tablespoons melted salted butter
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, instant yeast, and honey; let it rest for about 10 minutes until frothy.
  3. Stir in 2 cups of flour along with olive oil and salt; gradually add more flour until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise for about 10 minutes.
  6. Divide the dough into 16 equal pieces and shape each into logs about 10 inches long.
  7. Arrange on a greased baking sheet; bake for about 5 minutes.
  8. Mix melted butter with garlic powder and brush half over the breadsticks; bake for another 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Brush remaining garlic butter before serving warm.
