- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped

- 3 cups water
- 2 cans (15 oz each) tomato sauce
- 2 diced tomatoes (15 oz)

- 3 bay leaves
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
Instructions
- In a Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
- Add chopped onions and minced garlic; sauté for about 5 minutes until tender.
- Pour in the water, add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, bay leaves, Italian seasoning, and soy sauce; stir to combine.
- Mix in the elbow macaroni until well incorporated.
- Cover and simmer on medium-low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and take out the bay leaves before serving.
