- 4 cups all-purpose flour (plus more for rolling)
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup whole milk (room temperature)
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2/3 cup strawberry jam
- 1 cup fresh strawberries (chopped)
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (for icing)
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar
- 4–6 tbsp whole milk (for icing)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine yeast and sugar; add warm water and let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
- In a stand mixer, combine flour and salt; mix in milk, melted butter, yeast mixture, and eggs until combined.
- Add remaining flour; mix until absorbed. Knead for about 7-8 minutes until smooth.
- Shape into a ball, place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes before rolling out into a rectangle.
- Spread strawberry jam on the dough; top with chopped strawberries and cinnamon.
- Roll tightly, cut into pieces, and place in a baking pan to rise again for about 40 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F; bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare icing by mixing melted butter with confectioners' sugar and milk; drizzle over cooled rolls.
