  • 2 cups shredded cheese (Mexican blend or cheddar)
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon granulated garlic or garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook and crumble the sausage until browned.
  3. Layer the tater tots in the greased baking dish, then add the cooked sausage and 1½ cups of cheese; stir gently.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Pour evenly over the tater tot mixture and top with remaining cheese.
  5. Bake for 55-60 minutes until golden brown and set in the center. Let cool slightly before slicing.
