Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 store-bought pie crust (or homemade)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (semi-sweet or bittersweet)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves (toasted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place your pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges.
  2. Toast pecan halves on a baking sheet for 8–10 minutes and let cool.
  3. Melt dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl using 30-second intervals until smooth, then set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir in melted chocolate until combined.
  5. Brush the bottom of the crust with egg white. Add half the toasted pecans to the crust, pour the chocolate filling over them, and top with remaining pecans.
  6. Bake for 50–60 minutes until edges are set but center remains slightly jiggly. Cool completely before slicing.
